perfect design, excellent features Sent: 19 August 2010 I loved the way I can watch youtube on this TV. You can connect it directly to your Internet router by a cable. You can connect your external hard drive via USB and play divx, mp4, and mp3 files. The picture quality is stunning. The design is sleek. It will add a nice, luxurious touch to your lounge.
Totally blown away... Sent: 19 August 2010
This TV is quite amazing to be fair. The picture quality is very good and even the sound is way better than any standalone TV I've every experienced. Setup is easy, it quickly picked up all the freeview and freeview HD channels, then it's easy to customise the channel setup to put everything as you want it. 4 HDMI inputs makes it very easy to have all sorts of devices coming into it. The picture quality from my XBox is absolutely crystal clear, infinitely better than the TV I'm replacing.
I decided to go for the white version following a previous reviewers point about it looking more subtle in a room (as the TV is for my bedroom) and they were spot on, so very happy. It's not a solid white but a grained effect which I think looks really good. Because the TV is so slim and flat it pushes right back against the wall.
For internet you can connect via a cable but are likely to need the wireless dongle which costs an additional £40+
Brilliant Slim Flat TV with Freeview HD and BBC iPlayer Sent: 16 August 2010 Had this TV for 3 months now, Freeview HD works perfectly but you need to have a strong HD signal, I added a signal booster. Also just downloaded the BBC iPlayer App and its works great. Have watched a couple of programmes now.
Beautiful TV, but no BBC iPlayer yet (July 2010)... Sent: 19 July 2010 I received this from Amazon at the weekend and am blown away by what a nice piece of kit it is. I opted for this one over the 40inch in the end as I didn't want it to overpower my living room (it's a living room, not a cinema)!
It fits in beautifully and subtly due to the white bezel (why more manufacturers aren't making lighter coloured TV's I don't know?) and is so slim and light that it glides around on the twin-arm wall mount I've fitted it to with no effort at all. Oh, and whilst I'm not actually using it, the stand is really nice.
Picture quality is excellent and on the HD channels so sharp that things look almost 'unreal' to me at the moment (but I'm assured you get used to that the longer you have HD). Sound quality is really good for such a slim TV as there's barely any space for speakers in the casing at all, but I'll probably be hooking it up to a surround sound system before long anyway.
The built-in internet TV is a neat touch, but despite the logo being displayed on all their promotional material there is no sign of the BBC iPlayer anywhere. Either I've missed it, or it hasn't been released yet. If that's the case then I hope they do so soon, as this will be a very nice facility to have in the living room at the touch of a remote. In the meantime there are apps to check the weather and to watch YouTube videos and stuff like that, but nothing to compare to iPlayer. It'd be nice to have 4OD and the ITVPlayer as well at some point, but I'll not hold my breath.
I'm lucky in that I have a CAT5 network point behind my TV, but if you don't you'll need to factor in buying the Samsung WiFi dongle (or running a long lead to your router) to get the Internet, but I wouldn't bother until iPlayer is available as whilst the other stuff is nice, I doubt I'll spend much time using it.
My main PC runs Media Center and whilst the TV did detect that machine it didn't pick up any of the movies, photos or music files on it (I suspect I need to perform some configuration at one end or t'other) but it'd be nice to have an app that ran as a Media Extender directly in the TV which could take full advantage.
All in all a great TV which I'm very glad I bought. Highly recommended.
Samsung LED 32-inch TV Sent: 17 July 2010 It performed exactly as advertised straight out of the box. It only took minutes to unpack and set up and performed faultlessly. Delivery too was excellent.
