Perfect Sent: 27 September 2008 This device does exactly what it should. It is fully wired, and so supports composite, s-video and RGB without a problem.
The phono ouputs are excellent for separating the audio from the input SCARTs; which is great if, like me, you're using this for older games consoles with RGB SCART leads that do not have any separate audio connections.
Great price, too!
Great product - Metal Casing Sent: 11 June 2008 Great product - Metal Casing gives it a quality feel to it rather then my 25 pound cheap plastic automatic scart selector from argos only lasted 2 months and packed up, this seems alot better wuality and doesnt even require a power supply and yet still better video and sound quality then the crappy one you get at argos.
A great little problem-solver Sent: 11 June 2006 If you have a scart problem, this gadget is probably capable of solving it.
Of course there are other pieces of equipment about that allow you to connect multiple items (e.g. DVD, Video, Sky) to one scart input (e.g. your TV), but most of them will only allow for one of the three input devices to be turned on at a time, otherwise conflicts evolve.
With this product, however, that particular issue is not a problem. You can have all 3 input devices turned on and there will be no conflicts, as the A-B-C switch effectively blocks the signal of the two inputs which aren't selected on the box, regardless of whether those pieces of equipment are turned on or off. Thus you can seemlessly jump from one input to another without needing to turn devices on and off and without loss in picture quality.
However, you are not limited to selecting input A only, input B only, or input C only. Combinations are possible - A&B, B&C, A&C, or A&B&C, so the product can also function like any other scart adapter, in which you jump between inputs by turning one device of and the next off. The flexibility is yours.
Finally, you can change one of the inputs to become an output - ideal for recordings in which you want to preview the results 'live'.
I would thoroughly recommend this nifty little piece of kit. It gives you numerous solutions to various scart problems, whilst retaining the best possible picutre quality. And for all that, it's priced very reasonably indeed. Great product, great value.
What it doesn't tell you is... Sent: 20 April 2006 ...that it only has one RGB socket, so if you want to use it with a games console (rgb), a dvd player (rgb) and a satellite receiver (rgb), two of them have to suffer from reduced quality!
Great gadget Sent: 31 January 2006 Agree with above reviews. This is a very good bit of kit - simplicity itself.I use it to get freeview box, dvd and video all feeding into a TV with only 2 scart inputs. Great that you can also use it to transfer videos to dvd.
