Best headphones ever! Sent: 28 December 2008 Bought these to use with my Jabra BT3030 Bluetooth headset as I have tiny ears that standard round the ear headsets fall off of. I am a truck driver and needed something durable and comfortable as I am always in and out of the truck and these have been brilliant. 5 stars!
Very good Sent: 20 December 2008 As someone else has said headphones and sporting activity tend not to be good bedfellows as headphones tend to break very easily and not fit properly in your ears.
I've had these for nearly a year and use them nearly every day either on my bike, running or in the gym. They are only now beginning to show a few signs of wear - and given the hammering they've had I would have to say this is excellent.
I'm a DJ and I'm quite particular about wanting headphones to sound at least half decent. Sennheiser make top quality headphones suitable for DJs and professional broadcast use - I won a pair of HD25s for DJing. These headphones are obviously not as good as my proper DJ pair but the sound quality across the frequency range is excellent - I doubt you will get better sound from any headphones under 30 quid.
The fit is great. The band makes sure the phones stay in your ear no matter how vigorous your activity or no matter how sweaty your ears get.
Only slightly strange thing is the band across the back of your head feels weird for the first few times you wear them. But after 4-6 times of wearing them you don't notice the band at all. This slight initial quirk should not put you off buying them.
Eventually I expect my headphones to wear out cos I do give them a hammering. I will definitely be getting another pair.
Not bad though nowhere near as good as others suggest Sent: 16 December 2008 A bit late in the day as there is a newer model out but I just thought I'd bring some balance to the 'enthusiastic' reviewers.
I've had my pair approx. 6 months now and the sound volume is noticeably reduced in the right ear, I think this is because the cord looping through the neckband has come loose . The design could hardly be called 'rugged' as the manufacturer suggests.
The issue of the rather strange sound some reviewers have mentioned is apparent after a few uses. Once you get a little sweaty the sweat gets in your ear. As the buds of the headphones are rigid plastic they form a seal against your ears and so there is a muffled sound or an ear-popping sensation. If you have long hair I think you may notice this more. If you're doing exercise crouched over, i.e. bike, again you'll notice this more.
However, I have used these for a fair amount of miles running. The sound (weird water effects aside) is good and they do stay in your ear such that you can forget about them whilst they're in so all in all the positives balance the negatives. But they're nowhere near 5 star.
great sound, comfort ok Sent: 16 December 2008 Bought these to replace some in ear bud ones. Totally different fit to any I have worn before, feel quite odd and not the most comfortable.
I wanted them for the gym, I was constantly having to readjust, fiddle with and push back in the old ones, esp when a bit sweaty.
These are so much better, fit and forget, unless you catch the cable they don't move, even when bouncing about on the running machine.
Great basey sound and blocks out the dodgy piped music at the gym.
I'd recommend these and will be getting the same again when they wear out.Sennheiser PMX70 - Sportline Stereo Neckband Headphones
