Product Description (Panasonic) (KX-TG712) Cordless Twin Digital Telephone Answering System Silv
Panasonic KXTG7122ES Digital Cordless TelephoneTwin Pack - Great Phones Sent: 22 November 2008 This is a great product at a great price. Easy to set up, easy to use the phone list - even I can remember how to enter numbers, and I have many 'CRAFT' moments!
Sound quality is clear, and the volume easily controlled and certainly loud enough.
Reception is good, the wall between our two sets is 1 metre thick granite, with no problem with reception. Also using the phone away from the base unit is no problem, again through 2 stone walls reception is almost (but not quite) perfect.
Look smart, feel sturdy - just buy them!!
Great phone package for a small price Sent: 07 October 2008 Panasonic KXTG7122ES Digital Cordless Telephone With Answering Maching Twin Pack.
An amazing package for the price. The calls are crystal clear. The quality is first class. The system is easy to set up and Panasonic have even pre registered the extra handsets so you do not even have to think of doing that. Overall, highly recommended for those of you who want a cordless/answerphone set at a very good price.
Very good phone for its price Sent: 26 September 2008 I bought before that Motorola and it was aweful. Panasonic radio phones basicly very good for its price. There are better phones and they are more expensive. The range of its radio reception is amazing, it even works in longer distance than described on its manual ;-)
Best Digital-Cordless phones so far Sent: 27 June 2008 Excellent value for money, all round. We wanted a double set phones with large buttons, but even more important, descent sound quality (we've had problems with some phones giving hissing/feedback).
The Panasonic KXTG7122ES has seemed to answer this problem. The handsets are excellently made and have a good bit of weight to them, which is important with the almost 90 degree angle to which they sit in the dock. However, this alone is already thought of; the phones do not sway about and come away loose like some cheaper phones (BT as a prime example!). They sit in very neatly and require a vertical-pull - not just a knock before they tumble out!
Easy to set up - the text on the screens may be a little 'squashed' but you'll rarely need to use it. Nice and clear with a good back-light, no nonsense icons or text; just time, date, and other options.
You even have the choice of around 15 Poly ring tones. If you're unsure of what this means, the ringtone files can handle more than one sound at the same time, hence they're much more noticable and not as shreek/shrilling as some of the terrible tones you get on many phones.
In rather unusual 'home phone' fashion, Panasonic have pushed the boat out gone for some "classics"; such as a Christmas Jingle, a Beethoven symphony, and a few other ambient and uplifting selections. Such was the thrill of having a home-phone that can make more than one noise that's not just speeded up or slowed down that we're changing it all the time! Yes, we are a bit sad...
Answer Machine is adequate and easy to use; all the usual buttons provided on the base deck with Play, Next, and Previous etc. If I had one quibble its that the young woman's voice could be a bit louder (the one that robotically says "No.. Message") but shouldn't be a problem if you get a bit closer to the base unit.
Overall we're made up, and found Amazon sold this the cheapest. We've been made up most about the clarity of the sound in the earpiece, and the signal in general. This is most likely down to Panasonic's "DECT" technology (whatever this is) or their propaganda about how the earpieces create "more vibrations in your ear canal, resulting in improved hearing for those with restricted or hearing impairments" (Quoted from the Manual...)
I wouldn't choose another phone, and the great thing is that Panasonic have had the foresight to sell the Base Unit and the Extra Unit in separate products too, so as you'll see when you receive this, the outer packaging merely hold the Base Unit packed product, and the Extra Unit package... This leaves you with the option of buying extra base units if you wish, and they'll be the exact same model.
9/10
Panasonic KXTG7122 Sent: 21 August 2007 Phones arrived today and were very easy to set up. I've tested everything as much as I can so far and it all seems very good.
