Wicked classic product from Apple Sent: 05 January 2009 I have had this 120 GB classic for a while now(by the way mine only had 111.55GB in it, which I think is not great from Apple as they say it is "120 GB"). However if you ignore this it is a great little gadget.
I used to hate apple products couple of years ago, and used to buy creative and archos branded products.I had a creative zen 20gb(doesn't play videos), and archos 605(battery is useless-struggled to manage 3-4 hrs)which i bought 9 months ago. i bought the new Creative zen 8gb, which looked cheap and plastic at the back, in addition to this, it kept crashing, so i returned it and decided to try my hands on this after i read the reviews. have to say i should have bought this before instead of wasting my hard earned cash on the useless Archos.
Now,I got about 40 gb occupied already with about 25 movies and haven't had a problem crashing or anything.( well, so far!!) The battery seems to be working fine. Having said that it drains quickly when you watch videos at high brightness, but still it is good(apple claoms 7-8 hrs watching videos - which i found is nearly correct)
By the way i got this and a crystal case (which came free)frm Amazon for £162. I didn't bother to put on the case, but proved to be a very bad choice as i dropped it and now has a small scratch on the back, but still works fine though:)
recommend it any day and btw get the case if you dont want it to be a scratch magnet!
Bought as an upgrade, and it was. Sent: 29 December 2008 I bought the ipod classic 120gb as an upgrade from my 8gb nano and i am truly happy that i did.
Even with standard ipod earphones the sound clarity is instantly a noticable upgrade, seemed alot smoother and more controlled than the previous nano.
I bought the classic to widen my music collection as i had filled my 8gb nano and now my music collection is like "peeing in a pond" in comparison, even with my photo collection and a number of music videos the classic has bundles of room left over.
Size wise it is abit bigger than what i was used to but is fairly lightweight and not noticable when in your pocket.
The only "gripe" i have is that the scroller wheel can seem a little unresponsive sometimes but is not a major concern for me as the ipod lives mostly in my car operated from my stereo.
Overall a good little piece of kit and i am very happy i opted for this model.

good product, to the past reviewer... Sent: 11 December 2008 you can in fact drag and drop. to do this, when on the ipod sync screen in itunes, click the box 'enable disk use', then you can access the ipod as if it is any other usb drive through the desktop on a mac or 'my computer' on a pc.
