Good Television, but difficult to connect to my set-top box Sent: 23 December 2008
We are renting our television for £9 a month from one of our local dealers. It is perfect for us. We live in a ground floor flat, and are at a push for space. As I am disabled, larger televisions are out of the question.
I have hooked up the HDMI cable from the telly to my Virgin set-top box and followed instructions. Instead of reading digital cable, it is reading the set-top box channels as analouge. Now, whether that is due to the fact that it is a Virgin set-top box, and not a Freeview box, I can't say.
I can't watch it in HD, from my set-top box. However, I am not complaining. It is a very good television for the price, and I wouldn't mind investing in one for our bedroom, and get a Freeview box to go with it in the bedroom.
I have to admit that for it's price-it is a very good television. The picture quality is very good, and the colour is astounding. If you are in the market for an HDTV, and have Freeview-This is a good buy. Although, I can't get it to tune into my set-top box (Virgin V+)-it doesn't matter, as it makes up in so many ways.
Unlike previous telly's,where there was a risk of the power button catching the telly on fire, as happened to me on one occasion, the power button is light and easy to shut off, so it doesn't have to be on stand-by, without fear.
I really feel more comfortable turning this television completely off, where in the past, I left it on stand-by for fear of another television catching fire in the back.
What I will probably do, is save up and go for the 19" for the front room, as we have enough space to cope with a 19", and put the 15" in our bedroom.
It is a product that I, as a disabled person, find it easy to use and clean around.

Ideal for a child of 13+ to have in their rooms. I had a television in my bedroom when I was a child. This television takes up the same amount of space as a computer monitor.
