Ideally used for the car, this item is surprisingly clear with no complicated wiring. Simply plug the 3.5mm jack into the headphone socket of your device and tune it in, and that is basically it. With this digital transmitter you can turn the power on and off, digitally tune to your favourite frquency and preset any frequency for pure convenience. As you can see from the images provided the transmitter is compact and attractive in its design so it wont stick out like a sore thumb. I bought this to use in my car with an old radio which I had given up using in London because of bad reception on fm. This item is great, I use it with an ipod shuffle plugged into the lighter socket and so far at all frequencies it is very clear and I haven't had to search around for another setting mid journey. Has a slight high pitched noise on some frequencies.

It's turned out exelent! it transmits, my room is 4.5meters and has no problems at the lower frequencys (slightly longer waves) it strugles in the high frequencys though which wasn't a disapointment as i know it works fantastic, sound quality is good enough, and it does what i bought it for very well... infact it works up stairs in the kitchen i live in the bassment going through a couple of inner walls and one cieling so i am inpressed how far it goes, it also goes down an 8m corridor without a problem
i would honestly recomend this product, it works and works well.

Having already tried a couple of these FM transmitters and been disappointed by the background noise (especially when listening to audio books) and clunky operation, I was loathed to get another one, but I bought this on the strength of the other reviews. I am very very pleased with the product! Crystal clear transmission, long battery life, easy operation and a really quick delivery. Highly recommended.

I got this to use in the car along with my Zen Stone.
I found it particularly poor when using with the Stone, which has excellent sound quality when listening via earphones. However, once connected to the Transmittor, sound quality was poor at best. A lot of static and very muffled. Also, if you want to have the volume higher it was a total no go!!
i've recently upgraded my Stone to a Zen Mosiac, and tried again with the transmittor. The result was much better this time round. However, as with the stone, the upper volume limit is pretty poor. Sound quality is grand whilst the volume is low (ish) but any higher and there is a 'muffling' to the songs which is pretty intolerable.
All in all, fine for the price, quality is probably affected by the quality of MP3 you use with it.
