I was always one of those people that thought a SCART lead is a SCART lead. I'd buy the cheap leads with gold plated plugs, but I considered leads like this a waste of money. I have no problem holding my hands up and saying I was wrong......
I bought an LCD TV last year. The image quality is excellent via HDMI, but my Virgin Media set top box has to be connected via SCART and the picture quality always left a lot to be desired, although I just put it down to signal compression. I decided to give the IXOS SCART lead a go and it's definitely a vast improvement over the cable I was using. The image looks cleaner and sharper and there's less visual "noise". You can also tell that the cable isn't cheap, as it feels solid and well built. I can still tell that the image is being compressed, but that's not the fault of the cable.
If you need a quality SCART lead, this is good value for money IMO.

The cables are great quality, as you'd expect from something costing this much with a nice clear crisp picture.
However the metal moulds around the scart connectors are much wider than cheap plastic cables so can be a real problem plugging into some devices

A clear, crisp and well defined picture using this IXOS scart to scart cable giving a clarity which makes sitting down to watch a DVD a far more enjoyable experience. Also a noticeable improvement in sound quality.I recommend the IXOS XHT601 cable.

I took a little convincing about how much difference a cable could make to my system but I'm glad I listened in the end. It's like watching a completely new system. The image is much sharper and warmer and the sound seems clearer too. This is definitely the best upgrade I've made to my system in ages. I am now looking at completely redoing all my hi-fi and home entertainment cabling with Ixos cables.
