Product Description The König SDFTA11 satellite receiver is suitable for the reception of free-to-air signals. The built-in motorpositioner (Usals), blind scan search mode and Diseqc 1.0/1.1/1.2 (for use with up to 16 LNB`s) can be used to receive thousands of channels of many satellites.
These channels can be stored and organized in 32 favourite lists. The receiver also offers an UHF modulator, coaxial digital output, teletext, EPG and subtiteling.

Excellent apart from the manual Sent: 21 July 2008
This is a compact receiver, about the same size as a freeview box. It works well, though the free scart cable is of poor quality. You can use it at home, and for camping as it has a 12 volt socket. It doesn't seem to need a particularly good signal.
However the manual is awful. I know a bit about satellite and I found it hard going. Technical terms are used without explanation and sections are included without telling you whether you are likely to need them for a normal set-up. To a non-technical person it could be daunting or baffling.
What is needed is a cut-down explanation, in simple steps, about how to set it up for normal use. Then the more knowledgeable user can be given the rest of the stuff. For normal use it is actually very easy to set up, though for someone wanting just freesat it is as well to learn which transponders are required, rather than have to plough through a huge list of possible stations.
Overall a very nice piece of kit, hence the 5 stars. Minus 10 for the manual.
