Please note that there may be difficulty to receive Freeview TV signal by the included portable antenna in some areas where the signal is not sufficiently strong at present. This is due to that the Freeview service (freeview.co.uk) in the UK is yet full power broadcasting to support portable TV antenna at present. The reception will be improving along with the progress of Digital Switchover Program (digitalUK.co.uk). A signal amplifier or booster may improve reception capability in regions where the signal is marginally strong. (Please note that reception capability may also be affected by various factors such as proximity to Freeview TV/digital radio transmitters, tall building structures, thick walls, ceilings and etc.). A rooftop TV aerial may be required to watch Freeview channels in regions where the signal is insufficient for a portable antenna.
A smashing little TV/DVD Sent: 16 December 2008 We're really happy with this great little TV and DVD player. It is easy to use and, whilst we haven't used the aerial supplied with the set, the picture quality through the outside aerial is excellent. We also have channels available that we do not currently received on our other digital sets. We are looking forward to charging it up in the summer and taking it out with us. Really happy with our latest purchase from Amazon via Digital Daffodil.
Does what it says on the box Sent: 16 December 2008 Ordered via standard delivery from Digital daffodil. Arrived within 48 hrs.
Very easy to set up. Connected to external aerial.Good results. Sound quality very tinny but suits me as I have a hearing problem. Got better quality by hooking up a set of gash mp3 speakers to the headphone socket. You need to sit down and read the opps book to get the best out of it.Very pleased with product and service.
Great Quality Product from a Quality Company Sent: 15 November 2008 Fantastic picture quality, which even My Wife (who doesn't notice these things), commented on.
Mounted in the kitchen, it even gives me more Freeview channels (Due to a sensitive receiver), than my 42 inch TV in the living room, On My roof arial.
It has features on it as standard that you would expext on a more expensive unit. Operating also as a digital photo frame, working from a memory card, USB memory stick or a disk, with variable delay between pictures. Also the full function DVD, which so fsr ahs played every format I have thrown at it, including AVI and MPG, and Non British films.
All told, I highly recommend this unit as a "Must Buy", due to it's supremacy over cheaper inferior units.
Also, My Wife Loves it, and She normally dislikes gadgets, but she uses this every day.
Great companion Sent: 01 July 2008 I have incurable renal cancer and bought this little TV to keep me company as I am spending longer confined to bed. It is terrific - but the supplied aerials in the area I live in (south Hertfordshire) are all but useless. However, connection to the house aerial resulted in an excellent picture, and I delight in the ability to play DVDs, CDs and even movies saved on USB memory sticks as AVIs. The picture quality is first class for such a small unit - my wife, who rarely notices these things, even commented on it. If I were to make any complaint it would be that it doesn't allow a slide show with music - but then that is what digital photo frames are for, isn't it? And I have yet to find a way to speed up the display of pictures in a slide show....
Fantastic picture quality for such a little unit Sent: 05 March 2008 This is great unit for the money, the picture quality is unbelievably good. I did struggle to get the freeview channels on the indoor aerial but once connected to the house aerial there was no problem at all. The only thing I would say against it is that if you want to play music DVD's the sound is a little "tinny" and you may be disappointed but as a tv and dvd (film) player it is brilliant. Not only that it looks good too.
