Product Description August DA110BD is a multi-functional personal entertainment centre. It is LCD TV, digital Freeview TV receiver, digital radio receiver, high quality tablet DVD player with slot-in disc loader, media player from SD/MS/MMC memory cards and from an external hard disc via USB port, digital photo displayer and widescreen (16:9) high resolution monitor (800x480 pixels) for other media player or a game console. Please note that there may be difficulty to receive Freeview TV signal by the included portable antenna in some areas where the signal is not sufficiently strong at present. This is due to that the Freeview service (freeview.co.uk) in the UK is yet full power broadcasting to support portable TV antenna at present. The reception will be improving along with the progress of Digital Switchover Program (digitalUK.co.uk). A signal amplifier or booster may improve reception capability in regions where the signal is marginally strong. (Please note that reception capability may also be affected by various factors such as proximity to Freeview TV/digital radio transmitters, tall building structures, thick walls, ceilings and etc.). A rooftop TV aerial may be required to watch Freeview channels in regions where the signal is insufficient for a portable antenna.

I purchased this product and I love it, brilliant picture once attached to indoor arial, the DVD playback is of good quality, I also listen to the Radio quite often, after trolling through many other products i found this to be the best value for money.
Great except it doesn't work with portable aerial  Sent: 19 March 2010
Living in an area that has changed over to digital (Granada), my old analogue portable tv, which worked upstairs and downstairs with its portable aerial, needed replacing. However this August tv wouldn't get anything at all anywhere with its own aerial. Even on analogue it wouldn't receive any other tv area stations, which my old portable still does. So it is useless for the purpose I bought it. However if you are able to attach it to the rooftop aerial it is terrific and easy to set up. I have used it as a dvd player and it's also great for this.

Daughter got this for xmas. Very pleased with it as a dvd player. Not got aeriel to test tv.

Had problems setting this up. Unfortunately company closed until 4th Jan so not been able to use it. Tried 3 different aerials from around the house. Eventually got one that worked on this product. Will try it out in the car when weather improves to see type of reception received.

nice little tele ideal for moving around the house,garage,shed, reception restricted in places using portable arials but fine on normal ones.very good picture on all recieved channels. good value for the price.
