Product Description Q: How do I choose the right size wall mount bracket for my LCD/Plasma TV? Is this Allcam PLB103S compatible with my TV? A: - Check the back of your TV and find the four threaded holes (if there is no threaded holes or less then four holes, then the TV is not classified as wall-mountable);
- Measure the horizontal and vertical distances between them (in mm); for example, horizontal = 400mm vertical =200mm;
- Select a bracket whose supported max. mounting-hole pattern is larger than one you have just measured; but the overall size should be smaller than the TV otherwise the bracket will be stickout from the back of the TV;
- You might also want to check whether the TV connections/ports is facing backward or not, if yes then do NOT select super slim wall brackets like PLB104 and PLB105 series because you might have great difficulties to get the cables into the slim space between the TV and wall.
Don't just look at the TV sizes mentioned on the item title, it is only for general references. If you are still not sure if your TV is compatible with this Wall Mount or not, please Check our BracketFinder www.pickanoffer.co.uk
Excellent mount for my 32" Sony Sent: 17 December 2008 Bought this recently to add a Sony KDL32V4000 to my kitchen and was very impressed with it.
Very nice quality kit, looks excellent on the wall and very sturdy - the tilt mechanism is good as it is held in place even when you undo the knobs and you have to apply slight pressure to tilt it, rather than the TV just tilting down on it's own.
Comes with all fixings, but the M6 bolts to fit to the TV were a bit short so I bought some longer ones plus I was fixing to aircrete so didn't use the std wallplugs it comes with.
Fixed it to my wall no problem (using M6 Rigifix fittings).
A good choice, especially when you compare it to the £150-200 offerings in Currys etc!!
Simple, functional and good extras Sent: 05 December 2008 One bolts the horizontal bar on the wall, US instructions, use a size 12mm masonary drill for the 1/2" bolts.
Attach the verticals to the TV, there are lots and lots of scews provided for all makes.
Lift TV onto the wall bracket, it simply hooks over with the two top hooks.
Slide the flat black bar into the bottom hooks, which stops the set from being lifted off by nasty people or knocked off accidentally.
(It is possible to padlock it, but tiny hole so little point, easy to force open suitable sized padlock with screwdriver)
Done.
£80 cheaper than TV brand name product. Just as strong, just as easy to fit.
No problems Sent: 05 November 2008 This is a really solid, well made bracket. I used it to hang my 32" Toshiba LCD TV, and it takes the weight with no problems. All of the fittings seem heavy duty, and good quality. It goes together nicely, you fit arms to the TV, attach a back plate to the wall, and then hang the tv, adding a locking arm. One person could do it fine as long as the TV isn't too heavy. The wall bracket also comes with an integrated spirt level, which makes things really easy. The tilt action is very handy, and makes the viewing angle very adjustable.
A word of warning though, it's all in imperial (inches), not metic (mils), so I was slightly flumoxed to begin with. However, my helpful local diy store advised me to use a 12mil masonry drill bit, which worked fine. The instructions advise a 1/2 inch drill (which is 12.5mil and not available), but if anything this would be too big, as even the 12 mil holes seemed a bit loose for the fixings until they were properly screwed in. A socket set is handy for the wall fixings, but I was able to make do with a small adjustable wrench. Just make sure your wall is stable!
Perfect for Sony Bravia 32" TV Sent: 08 June 2008 This TV mount is a smaller version of PLB103M, which has excellent reviews.
I have a Sony Bravia 32" TV. After reading some PLB103M reviews claiming that PLB103M is too long for Sony, I have decided to buy this smaller version. And I am not disappointed.
I was a bit surprised how small it was when I received it. However once I touched the quality of this TV mount and saw 6 long screws for putting it on the wall. I know it is strong enough to hold 2 Sony TVs.
The package provides many screws. I would suggest you use the long 6mm screws for your Sony TV, instead of the 6mm short ones. It took me 30 minutes to read that 4 pages instruction very carefully and 30 minutes to put the TV mount and the TV on the wall. Perfect !!
Excellent Bargain to be Had Sent: 02 June 2008 Bought this item recently and fitted it to my bedroom wall to hold my Sony Bravia KDL-26T3000. The item is really sturdy and I'm very confident that I'm not going to get home and find my TV on the floor!
Compared to other wall brackets, I can't see a better deal - considering you'll pay well over £100 for a Sony equivalent, for £22 inc. postage, this is an absolute bargain. The adjustable brackets will fit pretty much any hole spacing - mine was VESA standard 200x100, but it will adjust from 100x100 up to 400x200 so its really versatile too.
Different TV's have different bolt sizes and lengths but this is covered too with an extensive choice which I'm sure would cover any modern TV. The black finish is classy and the whole build quality seems very high.
Overall, as you can probably tell, I'm very impressed!
