Excellent Bracket Sent: 21 December 2008 This is an excellent wall bracket. I mounted a new Samsung 40" LCD to my dining room wall with this badboy and it looks stunning.
The tilt function is brilliant and allows good access to all of the sockets at the back of the TV. Personally I don't know how people mount their TVs using slim profile brackets. It would be a very tight squeeze with 1" clearance. I have solid walls so taking a chunk out for cabling wasn't an option. I used some d-line trunking to run cables from the ceiling down to the LCD, looks much neater than regular square trunnking. The 3" clearance between the wall and the TV is perfect, I was initially a bit concerned that this would look ugly because of a previous review.
I have to disagree with the reviewer that said the distance from the TV to wall (3"), created by the bracket, makes the set up look ugly.
Superb Sent: 02 December 2008 I bought this for a large and very expensive tv so was unsure if i should scrimp on the bracket....took a punt and have been rewarded by an excellent product . I have zero to complain about I would recommend this to everyone .
Solid Performance From A Solid Product Sent: 25 September 2008 Having invested in a truly monstrous plasma tv, and having received my girlfriend's "request" that we not use the chrome and glass stand for it, wall mounting was the only way to go, something I was not particularly happy about, due to my lack of DIY skills/experience.
From the moment I opened the packaging, it was obvious that this was a VERY well-made product. No sharp edges or bad welds, no missing pieces. Just what I needed! The simplicity of the design makes it very easy and SAFE to install.
With the aid of the chap upstairs from me (he had the technical skills and, more importantly, a far better drill), we had it up and perfectly square on the wall very quickly, even with my difficult walls (apparently, scientists have calculated that there is not so much as 5mm squared of wall surface in my flat that is actually flat and even).
My 50" plasma, which takes two people to sensibly lift, looks ace, and it hasn't shifted one micron in over a year.
The only even slightly negative comment I can think of at this point, is that you really should make sure that the bracket is set to virtually perfect height. Although you can adjust the position of the mounting brackets on the back of the tv for height,if you need to move the whole thing up or down the wall to any great degree, finding proper replacement rawlplugs can be a nightmare!
Incredible! Sent: 11 September 2008 I brought this bracket based on previous reviews and was still slightly sceptical but thought for £20 I might as well try. I was truly amazed. The product is excellent, well made, easy to fit and use and amazingly cheap! I put it up in about an hour - It came with all the nuts and bolts you could possibly need and doesn't stick out any further than the bracket which cost me £100 from B&Q which I promptly returned! This is an incredible bargain and really will do exactly what you want it to. If you are thinking about buying one then I strongly suggest you do. Awsome product for the money!
Fantastic Sent: 06 September 2008 Very good bracket at a very cheap price was nearly conned into buying a bracket in store at 150 pounds got this, very simple to fit though if you are using it on plasterboard walls you will need different fixings other than that fantastic
