great cable, finally i have sound from my pc to my lcd television using HDMI cable from pc to HDMI 2 on my telly. plugged this into my soundcard output jack, and the two phonos into the phono sockets by the side of HDMI 2 on the tv and bobs your uncle, all good. and only a couple of quid. it is only in stereo though, but thats not the cables fault.

I thought this would allow me to get sound from my MacBook Pro to my TV but I couldnt get it to work...I'm sure the cable works fine for other applications so don't be put off! I'm not a techy so probably doing something wrong...

Does exactly what it says - transfers sound from your TV to you Hi Fi amplifier or other suitable device.
Well enough made, especially for the money, but do check what length you need. I thought 3m was ample only to find - after running the cable behind my sofa - I really needed about 5m.
Also check you TV (or whatever source you are using)has 3.5 mm jack!
Pay more and you might get a better made, longer lasting product but really you plug this in once & forget about it. More expensive cable might give a better sound but if that's what you want you'd be better investing in a proper home cinema system.
As an easy, cheap way of getting better stero sound from you TV, this cable is great!

i bought this cable to play my dvd through my hi fi system...works really well, if you have an audio in socket on your hi fi system then this is perfect...would recommend...good buy...3.5mm Jack to 2 x RCA Phono Stereo Audio Cable 3m Lead
